Four very attractive colors are added to the traditional list of colors that already were there and these include the very stunning and mesmerizing names like cherry, steel, lagoon and pearl. The names itself are refreshing and yummy enough to make one go for it. Needless to say, the manufacturer has also put its best to stylize both the internal and external settings of the handset. Acer the PC maker has teamed up the Ferrari, the sports car-maker and produced an Android based smart phone know as the Acer Liquid E. (Announced February, 2010)

This smartphones uses a Qualcomm snapdragon chipset and comes with 5MP camera. The idea behind the design of the mobile phone was to create a phone that was easy to navigate while having the best multimedia app’s. Most phones in this category normally fall short of this and they don’t have a well designed easy to navigate interface.

This Acer Liquid E offers a lot of perks in terms of performance, stylishness and durability. The combination of Acer and Ferrari’s effort has been able to produce a phone with the best of technology and a product an owner should be proud to have.

Just looking at the Acer Liquid E, it would not normally command attention but that is because of its no-nonsense all black surface and a very slim and sleek design.

Below is some of the features you will see with this handset.

• This phone supports 3G HSDPA, wi-fi and a loud and audible bluetooth headset.
• One of the things I like about the Acer liquid E is its 3.5 inch touch screen. This screen is big enough to be able to watch videos. This touch screen also has a good quality resolution which is bright and clear.
• The controls are touch sensitive and are very easy to reach without a lot of difficulty.
• This phone comes with 5 mega pixels and has good color reproduction. This phone can take good quality pictures.

This phone has some drawbacks. With only 2GB storage included, it might be a turn off for some people and sometimes the camera has smeared stills. This phone will definitely need some improvements.

Though Acer is a new comer in the smartphone industry, it is quickly gaining reputation as it had done with PCs. The idea of creating powerful devices that are cheap is what draws people to Acer’s products.

Personally, I think Acer needs to improve on the construction quality of the Liquid E. If you are careful to notice, it feels like a cheap glossy plastic.

If it has to make it, it needs to be on par with its competitors. Acer also needs to provide more function.

Regardless of my personal feelings towards this phone. I believe that Acer is on the right track especially with the introduction of the Acer Liquid E.
